Lesson 4: Subject: Language Arts Principle of Instruction: Cooperative Learning/Explicit Instruction
The students will be acting out their recreated ending and recording it with a classroom iPad, then uploading to YouTube. Standard: Language Arts SL.3.5 Presentation of Knowledge and Ideas Problem Centered:
This lesson will teach students how to record ideas, creatively think, work as a group and delegate tasks and responsibilities. Activation:
I will activate the students prior knowledge by asking questions such as: Have you ever gone to see a play? When you watch a movie – how much expression do the actors use? Have you watched any videos on YouTube? Etc. Demonstration:
In order to show the students how to perform the task they will be shown a tutorial of steps.
They will get feedback based on a rubric created for this particular project. Integration:
The student will be encouraged to integrate this new skill into their life by being encouraged to record their ideas of new thoughts, so that they can write them down and create something with them.
They will reflect and discuss this new knowledge by watching each others videos and commenting on them, either online or in the classroom. Technologies Used:
1.Hand-Out of written directions for staff of how to upload the video.
